We’re always looking for ways to spark connections between our members… and we’re constantly inspired by the diversity of skills and knowledge exchanged, and the collaborations and new projects these throw up!
Our growing community of Echo++ businesses, over 150 to date, frequently describe the opportunity to grow their peer network (for some by as much as 400%) and connect with entrepreneurs via our programmes as “game changing”. Why? Tapping into other entrepreneurs who bring the skills and experience they need allows them address the challenges holding them back – at no financial cost; a huge barrier to progress in itself.
How can we bring these organic networks from each cohort together to ‘collide’ and ‘thrive’, we wondered? What about a regular get-together… a space where local, cross-sector business owners could hook up?
So that’s exactly what we did! In April, we launched the first ever Echo++ Meetup at co-working space and long-time Echo supporter, Workers’ Cafe in Dalston. We kicked off the night in style with artist and activist Chairman Kato – he gave a galvanising talk-come-call-to-action to share the true purpose driving each and every one of us as business owners. Then, we opened up the floor to members to pitch what they do to the room, exchange ideas and make new contacts over a drink.
We feel it’s the beginning of something special – and we’re inviting you to help us co-create it as we go! Whether you’re just starting out on your business journey, or you’ve previously completed an Echo++ programme – come join us for the next meetup!
We’ve combined our next meetup with the Echo Summer Party on 26th July!
If you’re thinking about joining a future programme, this is a great opportunity to meet some of our alumni and put your questions to the team.
